Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned competitor, it doesn’t matter- this group is for everyone who likes to run. Groups for jogging and running training sessions are formed according to levels of experience and ability.

Competition runners can benefit from the close supervision during these training sessions, and we can also organize participation in group running events. For all those starting out, we are there to assist you in reaching your individual goals and in ensuring that your passion for running remains!

In addition to such services, the club will offer regular health and running seminars.

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the official opening of the Running Section of the Novartis Sport Club! Our first meeting took place in June this year.

How we are set up:
Subject to change depending on membership numbers and member needs.
Training groups (rough criteria):

  • Group A 6.10 - 6.45 min/Km Pace / including walking breaks
  • Group B 5.40 - 6.05 min/Km Pace / 8 - 12 Km
  • Group C 5.00 - 5.30 min/Km Pace / 12 - 15 Km
  • Group D 4.20 - 4.50 min/Km Pace / >15Km


What the Running Section offers:

  • Different training groups
  • Scheduled running sessions during lunch breaks and after work
  • Training supervision for running events (e.g. Stadtlauf, 10Km-Run, Half & full marathons)
  • Opportunity to meet like-minded people and networking
  • Collaboration with a sports store (reduction on equipment, running analyses) is in planning.
  • If requested we could arrange seminars and information events (Q&A Sessions, nutrition info, etc.)
  • Running Club T-shirt
