News TO THE JUBILAUM 2020

On Saturday, August 22, 2020, the Novartis sports clubs will celebrate 100 years of corporate sports. The anniversary sports day from 09:00 - 17:00 will be the highlight of the planned festivities. On the eve of the event, a ceremony will be held on campus with representatives of authorities and associations, members of management, honorary members and meritorious helpers of the participating clubs.

Different events are planned for the anniversary sports day at the Novartis sports facility in Hüningen. Besides company sports games in the disciplines of football, handball, table tennis, chess, badminton and tennis, trial training sessions and other sports activities for young and old are also on the agenda. Various highlight events round off the varied programme.

Fully in line with the binding international orientation of the sports club, the musical and culinary supporting programme will be marked by contributions from France, Germany and Switzerland and will thus emphasize the trinational character of the sports operations in the Dreiländeck.

In addition, a commemorative publication will describe the history of the four clubs, namely the Novartis Sports Club, the Novartis Tennis Club, the Novartis Mountain and Ski Club and the Novartis Stein Sports Club.

The anniversary sports day is open to all interested parties, especially athletes and accompanying persons. The Organizing Committee is pleased to strengthen the commitment to 100 years of corporate sports at Novartis with a large audience. The event takes place in all weathers.
